Review
Total Commander is a program specially designed to enhance Windows Explorer and provide quick work with folders and files. This program has several useful features to help you perform various tasks in your Windows Explorer. This tool has functions like: comparing files and background zipping and copying, you can find duplicate files, and perform other actions.
This is a perfect tool to replace Windows Explorer, which has a very basic interface. This program is not so big (around 2MB), and when running it does not require many resources of our computer. Total Commander's interface consists of two adjacent windows, one of which basically acts as the source of data, while the other shows the destination. Either of these windows can depict a particular folder, an FTP location, service information, folder tree, image thumbnails etc. Thus, Total Commander comes very useful as an FTP client, compressor / decompressor, file separator / joiner. It has a configurable File menu, where we can place our favorite programs for further use. It can also display files of any particular type such as image.
Working with Windows Explorer is not quite dynamic and is far from best for our operations with the computer data. Handling and managing files is much more convenient in Total Commander. |
